HELP... BAD INTAKE GASKET LEAKED WATER INTO HEADS

the gaskets that were supposed to be used were the edelbrocks that are .120 thick, i bought regular vortec gaskets that were .060 thick... probably not a gap of .060 but there was deff a gap... i am not worried about a cracked head or anything like that, i know it was just a cheap gasket... i pulled the plugs, drained the oil, changed the filter, the oil pan was FILLED with water/oil but mostly water... i poured a few quarts of fresh oil through the motor to hopefully pick up as much of the residual water as possible, and cranked the engine by hand without the plugs in to try n get all the water out... got dark out, cant see, i will do more tomorrow

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR QUICK REPLIES...

I use these felpro intake gaskets with vortec heads and they have good reviews on them. These gaskets have a rubber membrane on them so they are torqued to 11 ft lbs. With vortec heads when the gaskets are leaking they are known to leak out the front or rear and not into the heads or crankcase

the ones i had, had the rubber gasket seals around the intake and coolant passages, but edelbrock said they were too thin... only HALF as thick as what they suggest using with their intake n heads, i also probably didnt use anywhere near enough rtv...
