Help, left turn signal doesn't work when lights are turnedon

So it's been about a week since I've drove in the dark and tonight I noticed when I turned my lights on my left signal light on my gauges stayed on so I decided to check my signal lights. When I turn my left one on it turns on but does not blink. When I turn it off when my headlights are on the left signal light stays on. The right light functions normally with and without the headlights on. The left functions normally without the headlights on. Any ideas guys? Thanks.

check the flasher. I had a similar problem. its like $2 and easy to change. I think thats the problem.

Check the ground on the socket

Where is the flasher located. I think I need a electronic one because I am having the same problem with led bulbs.

also, those 1157 bulbs are dual filiments. I just found out that the reason my lights were strange and my turn signal indicator on the dash was on whenever my lights were on was some of the dual filiments were broken. Go around the whole car and replace all the 1157s, including the 1157a yellow ones. ALso, the little side markers. Just one light bulb burned out can cause problems all over.

Thanks for all the replys, going to go check the bulbs right now, but just a question, Where is the ground on the socket located and can it be accessed with the steering wheel on?

Wow, I have the exact same problem on my 81 Lemans wagon. So far I've replaced the bulbs and no luck. I have LED rear tailights (90 caddy custom frenched in the bumper) stock everywhere else. i have replaced the Flasher with the LED compatible one twice now and it still doesn't work. So if you figure this out let me know!

I bought electronic flasher. I think I need two of the though. The tail lights will flash with the led bulbs but the front wont work now and the left signal is kinda lit up. It only does it with the lights on though. With the lights off the rear work fine but still a no go on the front. I think I am having the same problem that you are having now which I didnt have before.
