I have a 78 cutlass and the master is junk..I also have a 85 Monte for parts..well the master for the Monte is larger and aluminum vs the original on my cutlass..the bore on it is a bit larger to fit in the booster..can this be grounded down to fit and everything will work with no issues?? Also just so it's known I know new ones are cheap but at the same time I don't have any extra money for my toys right now...thanks in advance

I don't think I would do it. You might be able to find a rebuild kit to save a few bucks. I was out in Idaho 34 years ago on my honeymoon and my Grand Prix master died that was only six months old. We were out in middle of nowhere. Several days to get one bussed in. Found a bone yard that had on and it lasted 3 years. Go figure

you can get a reman one for about $25. As far as I know they don't sell rebuild kits anymore, too many people screwed up the rebuild and lost their brakes

The masters won't interchange. If you want to use the aluminum cylinder on your 78, you need to swap over the booster from the 85.

It is a 80000 mile car that I pretty much stole for 2000 this last Christmas time.
