Yeah, but it is simply not that much more money, and is a real b*tch to change later. My engine is a mild torque engine too, not a race engine. I recommended that cam based on my own experiences. Even though my new XE262 only added a few degrees of timing as compared to the old Crane Energizer grind I used to run, the power difference was unbelieveable, and my engine will idle at 650-800rpm. To me, choosing the best cam for a given application is one of the best performance investments you can make as it will optimize everything else.For the extra $100 or so, I just happen to think it is the better money to get the name brand cam rather than the generic because there usually is a difference. For the record, I don't even try to build race cars or engines, I build street cars and streetable engines and make my recommendations based on the compromises inherent in a every-day driveable vehicle.
