If you decode to get a new steering box, get a new pump and hoses - don't pump crap into a fresh steering gear. The '800 series' that works for most Gbodies is this one (GM part numbers included):

The one you want has the 12.7:1 performance gear. Yours must have the four-bolt cover - the arm is different if you have the '600-series' with the round top. Lares is selling costlier ones - your choice.
Can you tell in the pic at top of this thread, is that the 4 bolt cover I keep reading about

I could be wrong but the milky color in the fluid might be en-trained air from being at full lock.
If I'm right and you let it sit for several days, it may start returning to a normal color.
I wouldn't use it again though.

Yes, that's the desired steering gear. You'll need the pitman arm off of it if you upgrade to the Monte SS performance box. There's $50 plus shipping saved right there.

I think you answered your own questions, if the ports were full of crud, it probably hung the valve in the PS box. The milky color could be heavy aeration or water in the fluid. If you let your cup sit overnight with that in it, by now you should know if it separated the water, or the air is leaving the building. At this point, I would agree with those who have told you everything is suspect, the dirt and possible rust has contaminated the lines and has made it's way back to the pump. There isn't too much inside these pumps, if you have access to a pulley puller/installer a reseal kit is dirt cheap (pun intended) .

Here's a video I took of just cranking it over. If it was running it would be much faster a with enough force to burn another belt. Thus was taken after flushing everything and new fluid again. This time the fluid did not go milky but the operation was the same

possessed by satan??

I removed my gearbox tonight and two bolts look fine and normal. And one of the bottom bolts was almost rusted down another bolt size. Are these something that I can go to the hardware store and replace or are they some special size

You can substitute a grade 8 to match. Can't remember the thread pitch. Best option is to shop at the boneyard. Bring the skinny one and use is as your ruler.
