Temp has a lot to do with this too....if the glass is very hot or very cold, the glue will hold, but the first warm day, or the first cold day...the expansion/contraction of the glass will break the bond. Try to install it when the window is fairly warm...but not hot....55-75F ...JMO

Thanks for the temp advice. This being Florida the weather has been mild lately.

As I said in the original post THE GLASS IS CLEAN yes, I scraped it with a razor blade, windex, brake cleaner and the little alcohol wipe (which supposedly contains a catalyst).

I guess I was hoping to find someone with some glass experience, not just someone who didn't carefully read the original post.
 
well.... try it once more and use plenty of the provided glue... I use enought to completely cover the button.....and see if you can pull the button off by hand before you install the mirror. If you can, then something is wack with the button, the glue or the window....if you cant, the mirror should stay there for a while....good luck!
