Highest blower speed position doesn't work on 81 El Camino

Ditto on melted plug. Happened to mine. Very poor at keeping weather and dirt out coupled with too small of wire straight from the starter melts very fast.

A little tip on the melted connector that most of us have had to deal with is to put a 30 amp fuse on the power feed red wire. For some odd (i.e. money saving move) GM dropped the in line fuse for that wire in the early '70's. I'm tempted to even ad a fusible link to that lead in my rewiring. Might even replace all the 12 AWG wire for 10 AWG.

got my car back today and was told the problem was a bad ground.
