Holden is GM's newest victim

Unless I was a hard core holden only family raised, and just needed an appliance vehicle, why would you buy any of these besides the colorado or trailblazer? Yeah they have the vette is cool, but nothing else is worth a second look, in the US or the aussie market.

Just about every decent car within the last 20 years ...

GTO - G8 - Chevy SS - Colorado v8

Were all Holdens before they were US GM's

It a shame they never brought the Ute over.

One thing about Australia is they love their V8's

Unlike US GM with their 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder junk.

65 thousand dollar Cadillac sedsn 2.0 turbo????

Didnt they learn anything from the Cimarron?

GM hasn't learned anything, like a once great leader who has either become a drunk or gone insane, it makes everything tainted. Even their overpriced truck's have slipped to number 3, just part of their ever shrinking market share.

this has been in the cards since 2017

I believe it was first tabled in 2013 - they knew it was coming. Regardless, having multiple brands (and specialized models) under one corporation competing against itself and outside companies is just f*cking stupid. The fact that GM is just waking up to global platforms now is pathetic. As is any dink who clamors for brand loyalty and threatens to walk away from GM, Ford, whoever for some antiquated logic. Build what sells, and forget the rest. Either your product/business is solvent or it isn't. People don't matter, the bottom line and shareholders do. Keep in mind the numerous (recent) instances of corporate collaboration in a spectrum of initiatives from transmissions to full blown cars.

It's just business.

This is all true. All 3 domestic manufacturers are now using ZF for their automatic transmissions and sharing other technologies

The Caprice PPVs are pretty decent cars, about the only modern V8 RWD sedan GM has offered in recent years. They are highly sought after in the used service vehicle circles. Shame they only sold them for law enforement.

Greetings Guys; My cousins from The Land OZ sure had a Great perspective of Automobile design. OK subjective & name bias for sure. Just dreamin', too bad the employees couldn't of become owners. That sometimes works for smaller company's. I so wanted to see the Coupe 60 get produced. And of course when the assembly plant closed back in 17, it was just a mater of time. Unlikely I'll ever sell mine, but it is a pain in the posterior to work on. And I thought the Bronze Brick had lots of plastic. I've already broken more than one plastic tab. Then of course I could of worked on the Brick blindfolded & everything is new to me on the GuTOo. But I can't leave it stock, I have the Affliction, Ole' Bob.
