I'm sure this conversation has been brought to the table many times, but I'm gonna bring it up again. Right now I'm running the stock intake with a Dualjet, still using CCC on my 3.8. I've been debating about whether to go 4 barrel or not. I'm not looking at hot rodding this thing, just getting a bit more up and go, if you know what I mean 8)
So I know right where I can get a Holley Street Dominator intake for the even fire engines cheap. I would much rather use a stock 4.1 intake (next to impossible find anymore), but I liked the fact that the Holley intake had provisions for EGR. So I'm pretty sure I would be able to use CCC with this Holley intake, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would run a computer q-jet, just like the stock 4.1. Looks like it has all the same hookups as the 2 barrel intake and same linkage.
My questions are, has anybody ever used this intake before and what did you think of it?
And do you think I would see a power increase or just extra fuel consumption/no extra power? Is it worth it or should I keep the stock Dualjet? (The Dualjet is brand new, new old stock, just put on a few months back, performs perfect)
I know the fuel consumption would be the same cruising, due to only the primary barrels being used. Only of course until you stabbed it.
Tell me what you guys think...
