$19,000? Everything with cars is like this now. This is a really neat car. Used to be commonplace and otherwise not really desirable, but now rare. The person in possession of it has no intention of using this car or fixing it up to it's potential(like we would). Like NO intention. So he's going to slap it online for a disgusting amount of money in hopes some dude out there who just inherited 1.5 million bucks is going to go ham over this absurd, rare, brown station wagon.

Look at this Monte Carlo near me.

Nearly identical car as mine. Same motor and everything. This guy started at $9,500 and he's down to $8,200. This car is advertised EVERYWHERE on the internet. Even sites I didn't know existed. Just hoping some nostalgic nut comes through with 9 grand when the car, despite $8,000 in upgrades, the car is only for 4k on a good day.

I'm not a Monte guy but 63K mile Rust free one in the rust belt with a Ramjet and a 200R4 has got to be worth more than $4K. If that exact car was rollin on 22's down here there wouldn't be a dry pair of undies in the hood, and rust free 30 year old cars down here aren't rare, like Buffalo.

Yeah but once that car is up on 22's and has some other silly mods like custom door panels with 11 speakers or whatever what is the car worth? 4 grand probably. Because at that point it's already someone else's creation. No one wants to shell out big cash to cop someone else's swag. Just my 2 cents.

But as far as this local market the hood here is broke. I don't think the drug dealers even make good money. So the random dudes with 15k in their waistband basically don't exist. So all you've got left is the car guys and they want to low ball the crap out of you. Every experience I've had locally selling a car here has been downright awful.

If that was an SS, GN, 442, Aerocoupe it would go for bigger money. But a base model, a nice 350 and some decent wheels. You won't even get 5 grand. Heck you won't get high 4's.

Well. I tried reasoning with the seller to list the add with a high reserve and drop the the starting bid to the minimum but they said they were selling it this way and dropping the price down each time, apparently lowering $500 each time they relist it
.:blam:
Even if no one bids high enough to buy it I would still be interested to see what people would be willing to bid trying to reach the reserve.

You can't fix stupid. Time to move on. It's a $1500-$2k car. That's what it sold for a few months ago.
