I fabbed a cold air intake using two Chevy truck air cleaners. I hadn't got the LS1 yet and didn't figure it would sit so high. When I finally got the engine in - new cold air intake was too tall.

So I cut a round hole - temporarily.

Found a Mitsubishi Eclipse at the junkyard - they came with a cool "bulge" hood

I'm going to try to weld this together and paint it this week.

If it turns out bad, forget about it. if it turns out good, I'll post more pics.

Atleast its not a cowl hood  Even though I have one on my monte id rather not see one on a BOP, im weird like that. I think it would be cool with a custom shaker. Im having a hard time imagining what it will turn out like but didnt the turbo Montes have a similiar "bump"?

Yes, if this turns out to be a disaster, I am going to try a 70s T/A shaker

Good luck finding a cheap one...they are getting VERY pricey!

So far so good - probably going to start with the Bondo soon.

I hear ya, I saw PART of a shaker in bad condition in Craigslist for like $100

That's definitely something unique. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Unique is not always bad. My GN is unlike any other one. I've done three or four unique things to it.

I would love to have the time/money to build a completely one-off custom car. Something no one could identify.
