Hood clearance issues, time for a junkyard fix

The expansion/contraction rates of the differing materials is also the culprit. Its the same reason my stucco is cracking on the wood frame part of my house.

Cool idea bro looking good so far. Question the two hood body lines are they still gonna be there?
 
honestly, i'm holding judgement for the finished product. most of it looks kinda cheesy, though the last pic looks good. it all depends on the outcome--a random round bump i think will look like crap but in the last pic it looks more like the eclipse "bump"--straight, uniform, etc
i'm not tryin to drag you down or insult the effort or anything, but if i think it doesn't look right i HAVE to say so.
