How does this flywheel look?

I use blue loctite on those bolts......

I read that I should use thread sealant on them because the holes are drilled all the way through and oil will leak out without sealant.

I have never heard that before on a SBC, I don't think the holes are drilled through

This is on a Ford 302, not an SBC. Fjords are weird...

The bolt holes are drilled all the way through and are open to the crankcase. The bolts and thread sealant seal it. There's a lot of info about it on FullSizeBronco, Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and a few of the Mustang websites as well.

Exactly. Like I said, Fjords are weird, lol.

Ford does come up with some good ideas once in a while, back in 1986 a Ford engineer invented the triangle on your gas gauge telling you which side the filler is on......

They also put the horn on the blinker shaft!!

this picture in the first post ought to have clued me in it was not a SBC....there is no chevy bell housing that would fit this engine
