Iv been many el Caminos on Craigslist in my area going for 7-10k
That's interesting a lot of you guys are lower compared to what I said. I see many el Caminos sell for 5k+ around my area. Not that anyone is wrong I'm just saying area really counts.[/QUOT

I think prices vary, depending on what region of the country you live in. Prices are high down here in Florida. I don't know if they're getting these (high asking) prices, but El Caminos in general, are pretty sought after.
I personally wouldn't want one with a V-6. The car would have to be priced right, assuming that the V-6 would be pulled in favor for a V-8 swap.

A friend of mine had either an '84-'85 El Camino with a built 406 smallblock. It was kind of stripped down as a street/ strip car. It had a good body and was a strong runner. He sold it for $5000.

Agree with Jack. Prices do vary and sometimes drastically.

Some laws of basic economics apply here.

Selling price is whatever the market will bear.

Also, observe the basic law of supply and demand.

Both of these laws will dictate regional asking and selling prices.

That said, were I to speculate I would suggest that G bodies are criminally underrated and undervalues.

Definitely holding on to mine for the foreseeable future.
