THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' GAS FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET GAS BACK DOWN TO $1.30 PER GALLON.

This was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this please.

Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May!
It's worth your consideration.

Projections say we are going to hit close to $ 4.

00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down?

We need to take some intelligent, united action.

The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas .

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.

Please read on and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $2.00 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $3.49 for regular unleaded in my town, Seattle.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas.

But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one),& nbsp;EXXON and MOBIL.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us send i t to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers.

If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.

That's all!

(If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am . so trust me on this one.

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you!
Acting together we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $2.00 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

which means NO sunoco no small gas stations.
This means Buy citgo gas, theres a video on this that Citgo gas is owned by the president of venesuela, and how only buying from him will bring prices back down.
I buy my gas from the indian reservation.
But when I buy gas for my hotrod, i'll be buying citgo.

I will not buy anything from Citgo as Chavez is extremely anti-American and Anti-Capitalist. Much like the Bolshevik's when they took over Russia, he has nationalized industries, therefore stealing the means of production from those who invested the money to develop it. Also, it is not as simple as not buying from a certain brand's station. The gas sold at different stations comes from a combination of companies since oil exploration is done only by the big companies. If you buy your gas a a Racetrack or other independent brand station, they buy their gas from one of the main refiners like Exxon/Mobil, BP, Shell, etc. It also must be noted that it is not simply a matter of corporate greed as to why the price is so high. There are a combination of factors actually. First and foremost is the economic development of China and India which used very little oil previously. However, in the last 10 years, loosening of restrictions on private industry has sparked an explosion of economic growth in these, the 2 most populous nations on the planet. Most people there previously used bicycles to get around. Now, tens of millions of them are buying cars, manufacturing companies are buying trucks, etc.

Then there is OPEC. OPEC is refusing to increase production and therefore reduce the demand on the oil that is being produced, thus cutting prices.

Also, there is a drop in the value of the dollar combined with some nations switching from Dollars to Euros as their means of making oil payments. This has produced a glut of Dollars on the world currency market, decreasing demand and exchange value. Considering that the Euro was worth about $0.80 when it was introduced, today it takes $1.56 to buy one Euro.

Yet another contributing factor is the environmentalist politics of the Democratic Party. We have not built any new refining capacity in this country since the mid 70's, and in fact import 30% of our refined gasoline. Democrats have frequently blocked the construction of any new refineries which would drop the price. Then there is the blockage of oil exploration by the same people. The Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) has the second largest oil discovery in our history, yet we are not allowed to use it. They have also blocked oil exploration in the Gulf Of Mexico, so now other nations like Cuba are exploring in international waters off our coastline instead. Plus, Environmentalists have also blocked the construction of ANY new Nuclear plants since the 3 Mile Island incident in the late 70's. We can't stunt our own ability to produce energy and expect to still get it cheaply.

Remember: The oil companies no longer have to sell to us to make their profits. They can take their business elsewhere if we don't like their prices as there are now PLENTY of markets for their product.

exactly my opinion. our dollar is falling, inflation is growing at a very alarming rate and our pay is not increasing. above says basiaclly our dollar is worth half of what is was introduced at which means they charge is double for their product so in reality if we didnt have any fall in the dollar gas would be 1.50 a gallon....... their fault or ours??

well OPEC has publically stated, a few times, that they are cutting back on production.
plus the oil companies have seized every excuse there is to raise prices. i was working at a gas station/repair shop when the WTC was attacked. we had gotten a delivery the night before and it was payed for BEFORE delivery. the planes hit at 9am and at noon the gas company called us to say that they were raising the price of the gas and would be taking more money out of the account. how? we had already payed for it right? why did the price go up? the reason they gave us was that the NY port was being shut down. of course the gas comes into jersey and the goes around the city to newburgh NY then to us.

i'm not saying that it's all a "conspiracy" or anything but it's not only inflation or anything like that.

i am about to build a electric car at home! i am going to post a article on another topic about it in a few minutes. problem solved!

except that you still have to pay for the electric from a fossil-fueled plant.
