How's this 383 sound?

I’ve had an engine very close to these specs ,
284 comp hyd roller cam and performer rpm heads with fatter pushrods
Rpm intake and hooker super comp headers
Demon carb mated to a m20 with 11” Macleod clutch
Lots of torque , instant throttle response and full on balls to the wall highway power !
If you want to do rolling burnouts at street speeds 🙂 then continue lol
I would build this motor again in a heartbeat but was a $7500 (can)long lock ten years ago
Sounds like a good all around build

Only thing I would do is see about having a cam made for the engine, and going with 1.5 rockers with a larger cam. 1.6 rockers to me is just putting a bandaid on the wrong cam. As far as heads, any name brand aluminum heads will be fine. I had the AFR 195 2.05/1.60 valve heads on my 355.

I ran with CompCams Magnum 1.52 ratio roller rockers on a 355 build back in the mid 90s, they worked great with my CompCams 270H camshaft i was runnig at the time, unless you prefer aluminum type.

I have Comp Pro Magnums full rollers made of chromoly on my 355 SBC, the roller tips still have friction and wear comparable to a stock rocker in the fulcrum area so I would spend the extra to take full advantage of a full roller rocker IMO.

FI TECH FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM???? Oh Hell no. Love the short block/bottom end parts list that you've created, but, speaking personally and only for myself here, I would run, not walk, away as fast as I could, from that particular brand. I know they have segued into complete FI systems from their original throttle body injection design but would be highly concerned about the from where it came and the quality of the castings and finish. Beyond that, has the post purchase technical support gotten any better???

JUst me here, wondering aloud.

Consider a stronger transmission than a 4L60E with that much grunt, unless if you're going to drive Ms. Daisy. A 4L60E doesn't have enough torque capacity for that setup.

I went through a couple centerforce10.4 clutches with my 383 before I got a bigger bell housing and stepped up to a Macleod 11”
These things make crazy torque for a small block
Even Morgan freeman would have smoked the tires if he had 460 lb/ft of torque on tap lol
I don’t doubt that a 4l60 would be short lived
