Hey guys Just wondering any estimates of hp for my engine
355 sbc
9.0 compression
Decent rv cam ~5000 redline
Holley 650 double pumper and edbrock rpm air gap intake
2.5 inch exaust without cats
Just wondering

Heads are just early 70s cast iron one 1.94 intake value size I think
It does have headers and no emissions equipment

Wow you guys are mean. A bone stock 350 makes 250hp at the crank with an aluminum intake, 600cfm carb, and headers. An RV cam won't reduce power output, but mainly raise the amount of torque made.... It doesn't take.much at all to make 300 hp from a stock engine with cheap headers, a 4 barrel carb and a cam ..

Back in '90 I had an '89 5.0L convert, 5 speed, 3.08 gears, free mods/cheap mods like a short belt, but still had full stock exhaust. 225 HP. I ran low 9's in the 8th mile on street tires @ about 76 mph.

Guy had a "400 HP" second gen 350 Camaro that was running 10.1s @ 71. I told him he "didn't have 400HP" and it was like I shot his dog.

Take the car to a track. If it doesn't run a 13 (or 98 mph) in the 1/4 or an 8 (or 79 mph) in the 1/8th is DOESN'T have 300 Hp. Period.
