hello people: How many peoples of the G body run a HB? It seems alot of turbo Buick owners do. I know it's because when the electric brakes fail it's what is used along with vacuum but it seems HB is preferred. My PM failed twice and that's what I did. Older Buicks had HB but changed to electric in 86. I wonder why?

I have hydroboost on my Grand Prix. It was a diesel car so it came stock. When I got the car the diesel was long gone but the hydroboost was still there with a small block Chevy. I liked the pedal feel so I kept it.

No, the stock system didn't include a power steering fluid cooler. Having one seems like a good idea though.

Got factory hb on the 83 elky, little extra hose mess , also like the pedal feel. Hb is usually an upgrade both factory & aftermarket.
Not sure about the electric change, but factories many time change something that is proven to work for something that may not be as good.

hello people: I think a cooler is needed with the HB. To yous using a HB. Do me a favor and let the car run for a while and grab one of the hoses coming out of the HB are they hot? Mine get pretty warm to the feel and that's not using the PS much. It might be normal with the HB but I'm pretty new to it.
