I am insane to not take less than $1000 for my 88 Cutlass?

Jokes. Anywho, the heads alone are worth 1000, and that's what I sold it for. And truth be told, I actually only paid 300. My neighbor had a crush on my mom at the time (I was 17) and he loaned me 300 bucks because he was into cars too and knew I could pay him back. Put 450 in new front end and maintenance parts includings two new lcas, (after the front BJ ripped off the lca, see picture), had the blown out holley rebuilt and tuned for free. Plus two new front tires. I could've sold it for double, but I banana'd a pushrod doing burnouts and I was tired of messing with it. The car was just old, abused, ridden hard and put away wet long before I got it. At least I gave it some life before it got gutted for the 11:1 429 with the D0VE-C heads and probably scrapped. Those cars in so-so shape still go for about 5 grand. I've seen as high as 30 for a concours car.
I think that T-bird would have made an excellent candidate for a remake of the movie "The Car"......
