Sounds like the timing chain jumped a tooth or two. Is the light flashing while Cylinder #1 is at TDC?

Yes it is flashing...that why I am stumped I didnt do any hard driving if anything I drive this car like a "granny" lol.

Ok, try this: Turn the engine over manually, and set the timing mark at zero for TDC. Pull the distributor cap off, and see if the rotor is pointing to where the #1 cylinder wire is. That will give you a better idea if its actually "in time" or not.

if the carb is dumping fuel it could be the float is stuck or the shut off is stuck open. Try starting it with the gas pedal to the floor and leave it there while your cranking or cover the carb with a clean rag while your cranking and see if it will fire up.

Tried that one as well...I really appreciate all the suggestions guys

You said the carb was soaking wet basically? I'm wondering if the float stuck open, it'll prbably never start that way. I have an idea to test that theory. Disconnect your fuel line from the carb and reconnect it to a hose to a 5 gal bucket. Now you won't have a fuel source to flood the engine. Then remove the spark plugs, crank the engine a few seconds to get the fuel out of the cylinders. Dry the plugs and reinstall them. -Now try starting it with some starting fluid sprayed into the carb. It should start and run a few seconds at a time, and it's kind of hard to spray too much, it evaporates fast. If it starts like normal and then shuts off right away, you've found the problem.

Just an idea
