Lots of room under that hood for a turbo 5.3 LS swap!
That's actually exactly what would be going in lol I was going to put that set up in my el Camino but I have a 454 that I think I'm just going to put in the el Camino and spray it

Greetings Rolling Mullet & all; I just thought I'd say Hi from one owner of a 9C1 to another. I've had mine for just short of 38 years now. We have very exclusive automobiles, even more rare than SS's (fewer made I believe?). But we don't get any respect! Maybe I should mention that the only parts still stock on mine are most of the paint, frame, back seat, side & back glass. Oh the accessory brackets on the engine too. I have a sever case of the Affliction, I can't leave it stock! Enjoy, Ole' Bob.
Beautiful car man seriously!!!

Nice score! The 9C1 package is a great start!! I love the B-bodies. I believe they are easier and cheaper to upgrade to a performance car than gbodies due to the interchangeable parts from over 3 decades. You can upgrade a suspension, brakes and rear by just buying a round the mill sitting in yard 90s Caprice. I just sold my beautiful 60k all original Caprice Coupe last week with hopes to move on the Oldsmobile A-body world and I wish I still had it 🙁 but I have a feeling that I will save a B body one day and hot rod the s**t out of it.

Damn, just had to update my signature and take off the Caprice. Damn, I miss her. Enjoy your Impala!!
I'm pretty excited about this car rite now I'm just excited to clean it up and drive it it's been sitting for years but started on the first try!!

Nice score, man! I have 87 Caprice with 23,000 original miles that sat since 1991. As soon as I get a legal title its going into duty as my daily driver. Mine's a base car with a V6, but I'll be shooting for a 9C1 look. I'll be following your progress.

Went and picked it up from the farm today drove it 50miles after sitting for years only issue was two chewed up plug wires and a blown out tire fixed both did a huge burn out before I put it in the garage lol I'm pretty happy with my purchase

Greetings Rollingmullet & all; "Beautiful car man seriously!!" Thank you for the kind words. I seem to have trouble with +quote -reply buttons! Consider looking for an interior out of a up scale "B" body if any can be found? And did GM offer buckets in "B" body's? That would be a great find, brackets & all. Just recover to your taste. I ordered mine with buckets but GM wouldn't build it with buckets unless I spent an additional $400 on exterior trim. I said skip them & took the bench. That't why I ended up with Recaros. I ordered them when the dealership re-ordered the car without buckets. The seats arrived first. Then GM spit it out a second time, No 4 speed trans with the LM1 350 engine. So rather than take the 305 4 speed I re-ordered the 350 inch LM1 & the TH350 trans. Hind sight I should of done it the other way & taken the 305 inch engine? Flip a coin Ole' Bob.

I've always liked B bodies. I had a lot of fun in a '96 Impala SS and in my '90 Caprice. I'm glad you saved this one from becoming a derby car. I'd love to have one for a daily driver. The car being a 9C1 is cool. Definitely the package to have on those cars. Do you have any definite plans for the car yet?

Since this isn't a G Body though, I'm gonna move this thread to the "Non-G projects" section.

Keep us updated on this Impala.
