Here she be...

It's a 1962 Cadillac Miller-Meteor 3-way hearse.
Drove it back over 150 miles yesterday after replacing a chewed through fuel line and wiring up the exhaust manifold that cracked into three pieces...

My best friend bought this car back when we were juniors in high school. I got my El Camino, and he bought this.
We drove it around for a bit, and then the next summer we pulled the motor and trans and had them rebuilt, and then we put it all back together somehow and it worked. Faily impressive since we were both 17 and pretty green at the time. This is my first project car, and it'll be fun to tinker with again when I've got the time/money...

Blake,
Is this your new winter beater?

I love it. I always dug old hearses. I like the suicide doors..that's different.

Ghost Busters... That was a '59 Caddy ambulance..

Plans for it so far are to drive it out to another friends place and let it sit in the barn (same place I built/stored my Cutlass wagon last year).
My buddy was keeping it at his aunt and uncles place down in south-western MN, and they tore down the building it was in, and they didn't want it just sitting outside like it did all summer.
I don't have time or money to do anything with it yet, so it will sit.

Ecto-1 = lame.

The car will eventually be repainted in it's original hue of black.
It was at one time baby blue, then silver. It was incredibly faded silver when we got it, and I painted it the black epoxy-primer thats on it now out at school 6 years ago.
It needs a good cleaning...

Kinda a wierd question, but does the inside stink? Always wondered that.

damn you lucky sob! if i didnt have the option of havin an elky, ive always wanted a hurse. very nice, and yeah...does it smell inside?

is it my warped sense of humor, or suicide and hearse together sound a bit ironic?? 😀

nice find blake...always loved the look of the 62's.. 8)

Back in the 70's my buddy across the street had one like that. It had an AC power inverter and we put a house stereo and TV in it. What a party wagon that was. Enjoy!
