I brought another car home yesterday...

That would make a cool tow rig!! Several years ago a friend of mine towed his race car to the track with a '59 el camino dually, but I think your car even tops that! 😀

Well, you make me feel more normal now as compared to the hearse, my plans to import a Soviet Zaporozhetz 968M seem somewhat normal... What are your plans for it? Tow rig, parts chaser, Halloween prop, new home if ya don't find a job soon?

I hope I don't have to live in it!

Aside from it just being generally awesome, I plan on upgrading the front brakes to discs, then a general maintenence sweep and then I'll be using it for a tow rig. Since I sold my pick up to buy the Buick, the hearse will fill it's shoes.
It's got enough motor and suspension to tow a car and trailer and I can sleep in the back, which is perfect for the track, since I'm way too lazy to ever set up a tent (been sleeping in the wagon for years).

Eventually it'll get restored, though I doubt I'll ever put the casket table and sh*t back in.
But that's long ways out, since I'd rather paint any of my other cars first.

As far as what it needs, it's pretty much just a really good cleaning, a driver side exhaust manifold, and then just start checking everything out.
It's just gonna be a dust collector for now, I'm going to take it out to my friends place tomorrow since my mom isn't too keen on it being in the driveway. I told her "it's a Cadillac, I'm classin up the joint". She thinks it's embarrassing, I think it's hilarioius.

That eBay hearse is gorgeous. One day mine will look that fine...

i'd love to see a pic of the rear floor once all the stuff on top is removed..you could make a work bech that slides out the back in case ya need to do work at the track .....pretty legit now i gotta go search for one....

Cool hearse. I've been looking for an old one myself. Back in like the early 70s my Dad and Grandfather came across someone with some crazy amount of hearses(I think it was 53). They bought them up, but then proceeded to sale them. My Dad actually still has some hearse from the 20s.

WHO ya gonna call?
Ghostbusters. lol. thats what I'm thinkin anyways.
way cool. 8)

It was only at the house for two days, so the neighbors didn't have much time to start hating it...
That'll change once I bring it home again next year.
Though my mom was already dying of embarrassment... I think it's hilarious...

One bad thing though... the mouse that hitched a ride all the way back in the hearse managed to sneak out and make a nest under the hood of my Buick by the blower motor. I went to check the oil at the gas station, and there was a big clump of hood insulation, and 4 little baby mice inside. I promptly scooped it up and threw it in the trash. ****ers.

When it used to sit in the driveway at my buddies house, all the neighbors HATED it! Luckily his parents are pretty cool.
A few of them even had a petition going around to get rid of it, but they were never able to make it happen. Dicks.

Flower cars are pretty sweet too. I actually almost bought a '59 flower car a few years ago, but it was just way too rough, and I decided to just hold out for this thing.

Holy Herman Munster!! Just in time for Halloween~ That thing is cool!
