Howdy, folks. Just finishing a motor swap and dash conversion on my 86 SS project and I'm having a wiring issue (surprise, right?). Seemed to have knocked the wire from the turn signal stalk off below the dash and can't seem to find where it plugs back in. As a result, most of my exterior lights work but not all. Ideas?

My idea is you should introduce yourself in your 1st post, pictures of your G body are always appreciated as well.

and as far as your question goes I am confused by this..."As a result, most of my exterior lights work but not all"

Simple- burnt bulbs unrelated to the column plug that we have no idea what it looks like unless it's the big flat one that should be pretty obvious where it plugs in. "Let me ask the internet before I look for myself..."

Sorry about the lack of introduction and/or pics, I don't have any on my work computer. It's the flat one and I wouldn't have asked if it was obvious where it plugged in, I'd have plugged it in. None of the bulbs are burned out as they all do work, just not always as intended. I have another issue somewhere in there but wanted to get this one sorted before surgery starts.

They do. Sometimes, parking lights work, sometimes they don't. Sometimes tail lights work, etc. Right turn sig is where I'm having a problem as well. Flashes slow and dim sometimes, slow and bright others, and always with the backup and right license plate light flashing as well.

I'm not the first one to be under the dash. I got the car with a 355 and 700r4. Everything worked before I swapped motors but you'd have been amazed at how much electrical tape was holding the wiring together and how many connections weren't connected, which is why I keep repeating that it's not obvious where it goes.

If it all worked before it's either a ground or even a bulb not seated all the way. It seems that the parking / reverse circuit is being fed power back thru the ground as GP suggested.
