Looked up a replacement stalk for an 86 Monte Ca on the autozone page and there it was, same same.

Kevin is absolutely right. It's the lead for the cruise control.

Thx, all. Beginning to think it was just tucked up somewhere since the car has no provisions for cruise control anymore. Have a Chiltons book coming that might help me find a home for it. If not, I'll tuck it away.

I know the early cars...with the inner fender mounted transducer had a stand alone wire harness that the stalk connector plugged into. In the mid 80's...I'm thinking 84? there was a module under the dash and I'm wondering if it plugged into that module?

**Edit...looks like it did..this is listed as 84-88

Sawl good and thx for the schematic, OD. Looking forward to hanging around, learning some new tricks and maybe helping someone else working on a basket case like mine.
