I sold a lot of AutoDrags in the mid 80s....and resealed a bunch as well.

The two halves, at that time anyway, were sealed where they met in the drop center with silicone sealant.

They spawned a whole market full of "looksimilars"

I'm a 5 spoke guy myself.

I've always HATED centerlines, to me they're hideous. My dad absoutley loves them. Has a set on his 77 Trans am and 79 cutlass.

My Convo Pros were sealed the same way with clear silicone but I never had any issues with them needing resealing.

I never understood wanting "directional" style rims since almost all of them were not side specific they would spin the opposite way on one side.

Even more reason to dislike them.
My buddy put those exact style directionals on his 83' Cutlass, he liked them but I thought they were ugly as hell, at that time I was running my ARE rims on my Monte.

Enkei, and most OEs, made left and right versions of their directionals. The wheel illustrated is probably my all time least favorite. Even worse when color-matched to the vehicle

I actually liked Keystones on the right car, but nothing common today looks right with them, IMO.

I don't recall ever having to do any other than AutoDrags. Champ 500s were big then too, but too spendy for many customers. I think they look even more dated today than the AutoDrags
