I must confess my irrational desire for early W body coupes

You must have stock in a caliper reman company to like those. Nothing ate rear calipers like W bodies!

This one was really cool too! That body made a nice ProStock race car. W.J. was one of my heroes back in the 80’s and 90’s.

I always thought this was the era where Pontiac really shined, creativity wise. It's a shame that GM built them so downmarket, and the reliability suffered as a result.

Even though it was a 4 door I thought the Bonneville SSEI were pretty sporty looking and probably reasonably fast.

I had one black 89 t-type lesabre also 93,95 Bonneville and a 95ssei Bonneville
Love the Bonnevilles
Wish I still had my 95 Bonneville had almost 300k on engine and trans had 100k on a rebuild on it and rust free when we sold it to the wife cousin for 500 bucks then 2 months later she traded it without telling us if we wanted back I went to the dealer and told them I'll give them 500 for it as that's what they gave her for it on trade in they said no we can't sell trade ins few months later found it in the junk yard untouched and asked them if I could buy it and they said they can't was so pissed off and still mad about it after 4 years.

I had a (purchased NEW when I worked for Caddy/Olds) 1989 Cutlass Supreme International Series Red/Silver just like the one in the OP's pics. It was an early one with the 2.8L V6, wish I had the 3.1L but was one of the best cars I owned. Gave it away in early 2000's to my landscaper with close to 200K miles. Only thing it ever had issue with mechanically iw Head gasket which I did myself at 100K, otherwise just those pesky rear caliper slides that used to seize up. First thing I did when I first got it was to order the DUAL OUTLET exhaust from the Pontiac GP because I hated the look of the dual tipped one side only exhaust outlet.

I think I still have some NEW OEM parts kicking around for it up in the attic. One's probably super rare if someone out there needs..is the Steering Wheel HVAC/RADIO controls...brand new NOS, lol
