I NEED MOTIVATION!!!

Ha ha why is that Paul? I don't aspire to trade my Olds for a Chevy, a lot of Olds guys would probably say the same thing. 🙂 I'm mostly just teasing, the fact is, a MCSS should fetch more money than an equivalent condition Cutlass. So if you were really interested in a Cutlass, you could probably get a pretty nice one for whatever your Monte Carlo brings. The thing I've discovered though is that trading and buying and selling cars never really gets me where I want to be. Once you've already invested time and money into a car, fixing it up and making it into exactly what you want is usually the most cost-effective thing you can do. (a rusty beat up car is an exception) If the car isn't what you really want long-term though, then it's best to cut your losses early and go with a straight clean version of what you really want. Only you can decide what's best for you.

As for motivation, pick something small and start working. Don't think, don't ask, just work. Nothing motivates more than doing some work and seeing the progress.

You're Crazy! Don't get rid of it!
I know it's fun 2 move onto another project. The ones u have they're never the way u want them 2 be, always something 2 do. Think of the time, hrs, $$$$$ u put into it. Where could u find another one like it????? I can assure u, u would regret it. I would kick my PapaBearXLs BEEEEEEEEEPPPP
and then some if he even considered the thought!

I wouldn't sell it...nor would I trade it for a Cutlass, unless it was a 442. But I don't know how even of a trade it would be.
I guess it would depend on the condition of both cars.
Honestly, I'd keep the Monte SS.

I know exactly how you feel, because im in the same boat right as you right now. I've been working on my cutlass since i turned 14, now 16. I have not once driven my cutlass or any G-body yet which is making it hard to stay motivated. I have been faced with the option of taking my dad's Grand National as my daily driver and selling my cutlass, but i couldn't just give up on the car after my father and i put all that work into it. There is still lots of work to be done before it can be on the road so until then, ill just have to motivate myself somehow.

Don't sell it! I made that mistake several years ago with my 1986 Cutlass Supreme Brougham.. Loved that car and wish I hadn't sold it.. With the money I wasted on cars I couldn't register due to title issues, or one thing or another, I could have fixed up the Cutlass to driveablity and more.. 😢 However, I got my Grand Prix now, and wont make the same mistake twice, that's for sure. 😉
