I Want Her Back

Why, all of them, of course

The Rallye 350 probably tops the list though. Maybe the 70 LS5 Chevelle SS.

Ribbedroof, I have to agree with you on that, even though I've owned upwards of 150 Pontiacs (so far), I had to have EVERY one of them.

ssn696,

I can't believe you don't want her back, LoL. Anyway, thank you for your service, helping us keep the freedom we have, freedom to obsess over things like this.

Appreciate your compliment. I served my contract (6 years and zero days) in relative safety (on a ship designed to sink), away from bullets and IEDs, and only walked away with some hearing loss. When I went in I was driving a tow truck and grateful for the paycheck. When I got out I got a job like the recruiter promised, and I used 90% of my GI Bill to get an engineering degree. I may be one of the lucky few that got more out of the military than they got out of me.

Too many to list over a 41 year span, but here are some, in no particular order.

1970 GTO convertible 400 4spd, 355 posi, hood tach, Granada Gold, Saddle int.
1979 Pontiac Grand Am, 301 4spd, Carmine Red over Gold, Saddle int.
1974 Pontiac Grand Am, 400 4spd, 4door, Limefire green, Green int., ordered new by a U.S. Army Lt. Col. in AZ, no A/C or tinted glass but Honeycomb wheels, tach, dual exh., HD cooling and cornering lamps.
1967 Pontiac Grand Prix convertible, 400 AT, 8-lug wheels, Plum Mist with Parchment bucket seat int. Only year of factory GP 'vert.
1968 Pontiac Grand Prix, 428 AT, posi, 8-lugs, power everything, Verdoro Green
1973 Pontiac Trans Am, 455 4spd, posi, Brewster Green, Saddle int.

There are so many others, (3) 73 GTOs, several 73, 74, and 79 Grand Ams, too many 73-77 Grand Prixes and 73-78 T/As to list.

Dave
Oh man that dark Brewster green is my favorite color on the Trans Am, I would give up major organs for one like that that must have been a fantastic car.

If we include cars that we destroyed while driving I would add a 1970 Firebird 400 and a 1974 Grand Prix that had a built Pontiac 400 engine

1953 Belair, 6" chop, 4" section, pancaked hood. Bought it half done from a guy that bought it that way from another guy. When I couldn't track him down as the car had no id tags on it at all I started to have second thoughts. After it sat in my driveway for over a year with minimal progress I started to feel like one of those "its not for sale, ill work on it someday" kind of guys, and sold it.

This is the one I wish I had back. 1978 Cutlass Supreme, came with a 260 but ended up with a 455 w/TH350 then after that a 425 w/TH400. This car and I went through a lot together. I've regretted letting it go from the day I did it. It wasn't anything special, but for me it represented a really great time in life.

Brewster Green is my all time favorite color for a T/A. Unfortunately, it is one I am almost ashamed to admit I scrapped. It was so rusty from the doors back (and this was the early 80s), that I was afraid the real springs would rip out if I banged gears too hard. That was before all the restoration parts were available, so it was just a very rusty 10 year old car.

Another one I forgot (I love the oddball cars), was a 1 of 19 1976 LeMans Sport Coupe, 260 Olds V-8 with a factory Borg Warner T50 5spd. I was fortunate enough to be driving when all these cars were just used cars.
