According to Auburn, standard springs are not colored, yellow are high performance, and red are pro series....just fyi

just fyi auburn only has the high performance and pro series so the high performance is their standard rear with the yellow springs

True, they only "sell" high performance or pro series as aftermarket units...but they made tons of standard units for many OEM installations. Just FYI

Auburn high performance is what the standard unit was, new name but same old design. Auburn always only offered 2 sets of springs with different spring rates. The red is not recommended for street use. What was the clear metal springs are now yellow and have the same spring rate.

Gotcha....didnt know that

name change to performance was just marketing as it always is and that design wasn't just for GM, Ford used the same differential. Auburn won't tell you the spring rates for the yellow or red. Eaton stock spring are 50 lbs and their higher rated spring is 75 lbs.
