i always thought Fwd was for girls...... until i drove a dyno proven 368fwhp civic hatchback. the torque steer literally rips the steering wheel outta your hands. definitely a different experience but cool none the less. everybody has their tastes, and like somebody here already said, a stone stock monte carlo SS with flowmasters and plug wires isn't exactly a fast car either, lol

any car can be riced out, some have just been more popular to do it to and it has killed that cars reputation.

Whether or not we like it or not, depending on your finances alot of newer cars (Honda or domestic) can give older cars a run for their money! My ole'ladies V6(3.8 Ram air) 2001 Grand Am GT beats my V8 (305-91'formula). :wtf: Both Stock!

there are some cars out there that are fast my buddy has a turbo eclipse that can put u back in the seat but the key word is turbo they arent putting out any power unless its turbod up or mods to the engine those guys crack me up that wanna pull up with a stock civic with an exaust and think they are quick especially when they only have half the cylinders

I'm not into hondas, but recently got into vw's. If you go on the vw forums with a set of trashy wheels and a fart can, the other members will cut you up like no other. The real vw enthusiasts are all about factory plus looks. I wouldnt buy any other wheels than nice factory wheels, BBS, ronal, or old school enkei's for mine. Granted there are alot of 'tards out there who put a fart can and stupid stuff like that on their vw, but the real enthusiasts are there. Mines gonna be low 'n slow come springtime. '81 rabbit.

I was in VW's many moons ago too! I initially bought it when the gas prices went nuts and then it grew on me. I put A LOT of work into that car too. Fun little cars for what they are.

I can dig some of the older vws for the mileage deal, though i cant stand driving the new ones. When fuel prices were up to 4.00 a gallon around here i got my drivers license. got myself an older bmw that was slow as hell but made about 30mpg highway. Ive even seen those cars riced out, made my heart about stop. the things people do to cars amaze me, i once saw stretched tires on an early 60s fairlane. And as for jdm, the boosted ones are nothing to be messed with once you start modding them. a friend of mine has a newer mitsu evolution that puts out 505whp on 27psi and thats with the boost turned all the way down, crank it up and its a 650awhp beast. Im just waiting a while until i have the money to build my beast...

A Talon can be a respectable car, still not my cup of tea really... But my brother had a few of them and one of them was fast as hell. Surprised many a muscle car and Corvette driver I can tell you.
I had a 91 Talon TSi (Turbo, all wheel drive) about 10 years ago. I learned a trick or two, and fooled the computer about the boost and it was insane how fast that car was....till the head went.....and I replaced it....then the bottom end went....and I traded it in.

😀

Yeah that's what my brother's Talon's were they were all TSi's except one which was the FWD turbo version, I forget what they're called... It's the equivalent of an Eclipse GST instead of the AWD GSX version. His really fast one had a 4G64 stroke crank instead of the 4G63 crank, and a bunch of little upgrades... Basically every mod you could do before getting into stand alone computers and expensive aftermarket turbo's. And it was quite fast, I couldn't tell you much about what was done to it but it would shock you how fast a 2.1 liter four cylinder can be. Well not you since you know because you had one... But it would surprise a lot of people who don't know better.

I think he actually still has one or two of them parked at his mother in laws house... They're basket cases though if he still has them.
