Okay, Im building this Camino and the only thing i haven't upgraded it the brakes. so! after reading peoples up grades I'm gonna put C5 rotors and calipers on this thing. only flaw is i don't know what all i need to do this to front and rear parts wise. i want parking brakes in the rear. Any Help???

the first thing i hit the junk yards, bought the complete rear disc brakes from a 2000 camaro ls1. backing plate,e brake, disc rotors and calipers. u will need to pull the axles to install rear ls1 brakes. you will have to fab the rear housing to install backing plate. search youtube, theres a guy on there with very detailed procedure. also need a adapter to convert your rear brake lines to the bubble flare. grab all the bolts. you will need to relocate your rear shocks.the front front brakes, i bought right, and left front spindles from 2000 2wd s10 blazer. it needs to be the dual calipers setup. all u need is the spindle and hub. than i bought the z06 13 inch rotors and corvette calipers and bradied brake lines, brackets. call this guy he will set u right up with every thing you need for the front brake upgrade. kore3.com. i went with 18 inch wheels, some 17 inch wheel will work. do your homework. i have around 1100 dollars in both front and rear.i can post photos of how i fab my ebrake cable, using the gbody cables. the car is iced over right now. i read the only difference between the corvette rear calipers and ls1, the corvette calipers are pressure molded, and the ls1 is not. which gives the corvette calipers more stength. any questions let me know, i hope i havent left anything out. one more thing, i drove my car a few hundred miles, and im using the stock proportion valve. no issues yet.

what kind of blazer am i looking for? like year range and model. I saw the video on youtube and thats what inspired me! i defiantly wanna see how you got the parking brake to work and what every thing looks like. Im 18 and this is my first build. i know how to do most fab stuff but i love to see how others did it and the results from it. Thinks for the info!!! 😀

I have ls1 rear cailipers w/pab's and brakelines, also have blazer front spindles/good hubs with brakelines and brakeline brackets I'd take 225.00 shipped.all you would need is the backing plates for the rear, andfront ls1,blazer,or z06 calipers, pab's,and the kore3/flynbye brackets to complete the set-up.pm me if interested.

i wanna find every thing my self. it makes me feel better when all seid and done i can say yea i pulled all the parts and made them fit. ive done a little work to this thing so far. named it Never Ending. when you think its close to being done you see a post of a 6 sec drag car and damn it mines gotta beat it !

I was told when I was doing mine, 1998-2000 2wd s10 blazer. Be sure the blazer was equipped with the dual piston calipers. The spindles is a easy swap. If you leave the front shock bolted up, it would be a safer swap. Although I still put a jack under the lower control arm. There was no issues of the s10 spindles lowing or raising my car front. I think I gave 150.00 dollars for the spindles and hub. When it gets better outside ill get some ebrake cables photos for u. I used a mig for the e brake cable fab.

okay sweet ill have to get to the yard when i dont have work and it warms up! are the dual piston caliper blazers hard to come by? or are they a dime a dozen? i can get the spindles for like 25 a pop. ill just get some new bearings for it tho don't wanna have to pull it all apart just to replace it. how did you mount your E brake on the rear, and I'm guessing you used an camaro set up back there?

i hooked the gbody cables to the ls1 hardware. i used a 3/8'' tube welded to a bracket. then i welded the bracket to the lower control arm, and used a piece of a porch swing chain link, the chain is heavy duty. i threaded the cable tru the 3/8 tube, then fab the chain link to the end of cable, and slide the chain link over the hook that sticks out of the ls1 backing plate. i post photos as soon weather clears.

i can get the spindle, caliper, and rotor for $45 from a yard by me. all i need is the spindle since I'm using C5 rotors and calipers.. go big or go home
