FML... FML... FML... SO THE CHROME POWER STEERING PUMP I ORDERED DOESNT FIT!!! ITS A PRE 1976 SAGINAW... THE FITTING THAT SCREWS INTO THE PUMP DOESNT FIT AND THE t*ts THAT THE BRACKET BOLT UP TO ARE ON AN ANGLE AND NOT STRAIGHT OFF THE SIDE... I CUT THE BRACKET TO MAKE IT FIT, THEN GOT IT IN AND SAW THE HOSE FITTING DEBACLE.... SAID SCREW THIS, AND TOSSED MY OLD DIRTY PUMP BACK IN... I'LL FIGURE SOMETHING OUT SOON TO BE ABLE TO USE THE PRE 76, MAYBE TRY AND USE A PRE 76 HOSE... its kinda funny how horribly stained the road is... entire road is clean except for right infront of my house... that poor road has seen more fluids than paris hilton...

well, a little update, i finally swapped out the craptastical one piece composite headlights that were on my monte and highjacked the regular two piece lights out of my malibu... painted the aluminum light trim rings black and installed them into the monte, which came out like crap... i gotta try and get them centered... they are way tight on the fender side... ALSO, swapped the light wiring harness cause the one in the monte looked like someone used a weed wacker on it... lol... after swapping the wiring i noticed the malibu has an extra bulb compared to the monte, malibu has seperate daytime running lights and front facing turn signal and the montes daytime and front facing turn signal are all in one, so i will cut it out and rewire it... and then i put the cheap one piece lights into the malibu and fixed the horrible wiring job... ORDERED the POLISHED PERFORMER RPM INTAKE, VORTEC VALVE COVER GASKETS, TWO 1/4" NPT BY 3/8" TUBE FITTINGS FOR THE FUEL PUMP, AND THE BRONZE TIP FUEL PUMP PUSHROD... so, i should FINALLY have my motor started by saturday if all the parts show up in time... i'll post pics later...

You can remove the s.a.e. fitting from the back of the pump and replace it with the metric fitting from your current pump, or you can cut the end off your hose and replace the metric fitting with an s.a.e. one and reflare the line.
The pump itself can be rotated within the reservoir to clock the bolt holes to your desired location...
Just takes some time, though you'll have to be extra careful to not scratch the chrome.

yeah i am just going to get a new hose for it... i was looking at it today and that'll just be the easiest option

I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW, THE LIGHTS ARENT CENTERED ON THE MONTE... A COUPLE SMACKS WITH A HAMMER SHOULD FIX THAT... and the cheap one piece lights on the malibu are just bungie corded in place cause i stole all the screws for the monte lol...

AND.... F-BODY HEADERS I FIT IN MY MONTE... a little sawzalling and they fit without a problem... had to trim the passenger A-arm a little... I EXPECTED it to be alot harder to get them to fit, but they almost popped right in... had to jack the car WAY up to put them in from under the car on a big angle to clear everything but they fit...

WHAT I WILL BE DOING OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF MORNINGS WHILE ITS CHILLY OUTSIDE... the aluminum sill plates are in ROUGH condition... but i tried cleaning one spot with mothers aluminum cleaner paste and an old sock and it shines like nobodies business, so i figure i have a few hours every morning between when i wake up and when its warm enough to work on my cars so i will polish these...
NOT GOOD CONDITION

CLOSE UP HOW BAD THEY ARE

POLISHED ONE LITTLE SPOT

Started replacing all the weather stripping on the monte... the car at the corner where the windshield, drivers window, and t-top all meet is BAD... rusted out... i will fix it when fix the rotted quarter panel... TRYING TO REMOVE THE OLD ADHESIVE SUCKS... also wire up the starter and power wire for the battery, so i can drop a battery in it and test out the new lights i put in... crossing my fingers they work, cause the last ones didnt, i think it was just a bad ground and shitty wiring so i redid the grounds, and changed the wiring harness... if they still dont work, idk what is WRONG.... will update after i TEST...

THE NEW INTAKE CAME... $172.50 FOR A BRAND NEW POLISHED PERFORMER RPM... JEGS N SUMMIT BOTH WANTED $390... CANT WAIT TO INSTALL IT
