in need of help guys, 454 big block headers for g body.

On my headders i welded them up at each slip joint so i would not have to worry about any leaks and now that i have the car tore apart again this time all the way down, i will have them coated this winter before i put them back in.

I have a 1980 Malibu with a 454 bbc & th400 trans. Everything fits fine except the headers which are the hooker 2455's. I've trimmed the motor mount on the drivers side, I've trimmed the lower control arms on both sides and im still catching hell with getting them to fit snug against the block for me to bolt them down. What am i missing that I need to do??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I had ones custom made...even then they are in the way of EVERYTHING. lol

If you want the best layout I'd suggest for the hassle just to have somebody make you a set. Mine are still a pain in the *ss...have to go in with engine...but not attached...change spark plugs? Undo headers and c*ck at angle...access starter?...remove driveshaft, transmission, flexplate, unbolt and c*ck header. It all sucks. lol
