So i noticed if the belt is to tight, it actually pushes the "dog bone?" Closer to the pulley and rubs.....so that means that the bracket is out to far and can possibly bend that bolt. I messaged that company about the other pulley kit. They sent me this pic as instructions to measure. Im assuming the piece below the water pump is missing the crank pulley? Is that a pain in the *ss to remove?

They have it against the balancer, 4 bolts hold the pulley on the balancer, measure in the middle. I almost guarantee you have the 6" water pump, actually 5.95" but close enough, they call it 6".

Your right. Its a 6" water pump. I asked if the pulley kit would help line everything better so it would be the way its suppose to be without all this extra mods to make it kinda work...but they asked me to do that measurement and go from there

So i got the pulley off. And measuring off the the ring/face where the bolts thread into it looks like 3 3/4 inches. Does that sound about right to anyone whos done this?

Yes, with the thickness of the balancer, it should be close. Go from the the end of the water pump should be 5.95" to the cover behind the balancer.
