Installing Buckets with center console

i bought brackets off ebay 3 in all. 2 for shifter and 1 for the console. my son welded them in place


and the result dual gate

you will also need the seat belts for the bucket seats, as they are different.

Im using the stock split bench seat belts with my buckets just fine

THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND THE OTHERS LOOK MUCH BETTER/ORIGINAL...JMO

They may look better changed but they work just fine. You can cut the 2 ends off you don't need. Beats tring to get those bolts out at the junkyad rust welded to the floor. I put 2000 cop car impala buckets in my monte carlo. Seats are way firm now.

I finished the center console install with the parts from gbodyparts.com and the results were fantastic.

Please post pictures of the cable install, where you drilled the hole for the cable in the trans tunnel and finally hook-up of the cable to the trans linkage.

Please post pictures of the cable install, where you drilled the hole for the cable in the trans tunnel and finally hook-up of the cable to the trans linkage.

If you look at the last picture you will see a black dot. This is where I drilled the hole. Many say there is one dimple to mark where to drill at. On my 81, there were 3 so I used a diagram that evans85 had drawn up for me to determine that the center dimple was the one to use. I have the transmission getting finished today so after it is done I will take pictures of the cable install to the trans. Here is one picture of the cable routing from above. Not a great pic, but you can see where it went through the floor board.
