Installing Factory Air Cleaner

Well heres the story ended up swapping a 305 into my 81 MC. When I got the engine it didnt have a carb on it. So i bought one from a friend and had it rebuilt. I noticed on this type of quadrajet it doesnt have a hole from me to screw in air cleaner stud. This is the type of quadrajet that doesnt have a electric choke so its probably 79-80 4bbl. How would I attach a air cleaner off a 87 monte ss onto my 305??? well how would i mount it down

There is usually a hole in the center top area of the quadrajet, just behind the primary barrels, where the air cleaner stud will thread in. Try having a closer look. It should be there.
