Hey all,
I think it's about time to install a new sending unit on my 84 Cutlass. I assume, while I'm at it I should replace the stock fuel lines, right? Being 29 years old they can't be in good shape.

1. Has anyone tackled this before, what am I getting myself into?
2. Anything else I should look for while under there?

Thank you all for any feed back.

I think it would be a good idea along with the return line. I would look at changing the brake lines as well and take a look at the emergency brake cable. When I replaced the brake l used cunifer. The cunifer is more expensive but it's easy to work with and does not corrode

FYI I am not sure if anyone else can shed some light on this, but I replaced all the lines in my 84 not too long ago along with the sending unit. Afterwards my gas tank is a little inaccurate. Not by much but now full tank is a little under full mark and empty is a little below empty mark...is there an adjustment on sending unit I missed?

When I did the sending unit in my car the new one was off when you held them side by side, the arm on the new one may have been bent during shipping, or even made off slightly, I measured the old one all the way up and down then tweaked the new one so it measured the same, seems ok full is full, and it's never ran out on me when it showed fuel in it
