Inflation, supply vs demand.

Honestly, if you have thoughts of having or upgrading your daily driver in the next couple years, and want traditional ICE, buy one now and just don't reg it yet. Keep it started and run, up on maintenance.

As companies phase out new ICE models, late model pre-owned go up in price, and thus, earlier models become more desirable when someone asks themselves, why pay xyz for a 5 year old 100k mile when for just z I can get a cool 30 year old whatever like I used to have.
