What do you use to bring or put color back in sun faded velour parts? The upper door panels on my Aero Coupe need some attention...never tried to paint/dye cloth?
I tried doing the velour upper door panels on my Regal just to see if I could get something to work and while I could get the color back I think you will forever loose the "touch of velour" feel regardless of how you apply it.
It seems that the burgundy, reds are the notorious ones when it comes to sun fading.

I learned that a few years back. I tested it on my rear side panel inserts as i knew i wasn't going to reuse them. Did a color change, and used a brush to "brush in the paint"....after it cured the velour feel was forever gone, panel was stiff as sh*t!

When you say youve been on their site and looked at the colors do you mean the aerosol colors ? FYI, SEM also has a color fan that has a crap load of colors. The paint supplier that I use has one. I was surprised to see how many standard colors are available.

This is from my PPG library (PD-731), the product sheet date is from 2000. It is for their Specialty Performance Products line. It isn't SEM but might help with recoloring parts like velour.

It's a shame too...really wish there was an easier and cheaper way than recovering. All the reading I've done about dying fabric leads me to believe you might as well just recover, and as said, the spray stuff works, but you give up the plush.

Yep, i had some custom side panel inserts made for me (sorry no pics) that are vinyl. I might leave them silver, but painting them will be no problem.
