Is It the 1970's All Over Again?

yea it does its true. but i like how both of those cars look. and for the price, i don't think you can get a car with as much potential and appearance as the genesis coupe

Well, the Genesis is a pretty good car. It's not an Excel or an Accident (accent). I think James May described the Hyundai Accident best when he said "Well... it's kind of like a car, really-only not as good."

I think that genesis looks like an overgrown tiburon....and I'd like to see how many of those genesis are going to be around in 20 years...

idc, id still rock one if I was given 25k and held a gun to my head to buy a "new" vehicle.

just thought i'd say, my household had an excel until this year and we had 452000km on it when we drove it to the junkyard.

The Genesis Coupe is kind of the spiritual successor to the Nissan Silvia/240sx. The base engine is a turbo 4, and I would take that one over the V6, despite having less power.

what i hate is hyundai and kia stealing the desgins from other car co. like jaguar. now everytime i see someone in a nice jaguar my initial thought is 'what a piece of ... oh! it IS a jag.'

In many ways some jags are more of a pos than hyundais. Jags have notorious wiring problems when they get old (don't know if this changed in the 90's or not) and have been borrowing pieces from GM since the 70's, and until very recently some of the entry models are more ford built than jaguar

Yeah, Jags are well known for the curse of Joseph Lucas, developer of the three position headlight switch... Dim, Flicker and Off. Pretty much anything from (pick one): BMC, British Leyland ( MG, Jaguar, Triumph, Mini, Morris, Austin, Woolsley, Alvis, Land Rover, Range Rover, Rover, Riley, etc.) or later Rover Group is usually cursed with the demon seed of Joe Lucas. I think it may extend to Rootes group cars as well (Hillman, Sunbeam, etc.).
