The Oil Pressure gauge comes attached to the Volt Meter that's why I am trying to get this to work.

The wire may have a short in it coming off the sensor

I have an electric gauge that pegs "max" when the ground comes loose

Call off the hounds.............I found a section on the circuit board that was compromised and when I traced the line it
was one to the oil pressure gauge. I peeled back the plastic covering to expose the 2 copper wires, soldered a small
section and VOILA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gauge works............................thank you Lord...............

Thanks to all...........sorry I didn't think of the circuit board earlier but it seemed fine. It wasn't until I truly looked
and followed the path that I found the break.......................

Here's the fix for the inaccurate tach issue.......soldered a wire between center contact and bottom contact noted 8 for the
V8.......don't solder to the other unless you have a V6
