BUILD THREAD It Has Begun!

Figuring out what's what and what's not... is always a guess. Typically on a factory car that has a basic frame, but also has large number of models that it can be made into, holes are typically there. In production it is difficult to tell if the frame will be for V6 single exhaust Base unit or HO/SS/442 etc...

This is because frames might be made at one location and then rail shipped to another location.

Just like on F Body Camaro or Firebird, Base Camero frame would have the holes and attachment places needed for both Base unit and top of the line Z28.

This is same on truck and vans and with the caveat "typically"...

Transmission mostly in place. A little progress.

Engine in! Only a couple bolts on the bellhousing to hold it for right now. Our cherry picker situation was less than ideal, so I'm a little sad that we scuffed up the harmonic balancer and the passenger side mount a little, but it's in place and no damage to the shiny stuff. My Dad is still a freakin beast!

Where are you located? Keep the motor mount from the 301. If you decide to go back to a Pontiac motor you can use those mounts or I maybe interested for the right price. I may have a 78 fender available, I will see if it has the corner light.

79 GP 4 speed I'm in New Mexico. The chassis side look like hell. I haven't even looked at block side since removal. I'll take a look and let you know. I'd definitely be open to looking at the fender if you've got one without corner lights.

I will take a look when it's not raining. I will take a picture for you. Not sure what shipping would be to get it to you.

I was able to get to yard this after noon.

Price I got .. fender and header... $450, probably get a few extras. Hood is off. It's solid, but will need some work. You can see it on ground next to car.

Need a base for that console? I was poking around online and found this just a few days ago. I don't know the seller and have never done business with them.

This car appears to be 81 or newer so they won't interchange with the 78-80 models.
