For a while now, I have been thinking about building a street rod.
I wanted to build a Pontiac, since I am such a Poncho fan....
But I have several friends who have "been there, done that" and they all advised me to stick with a mainstream car ( to all of them, that means Ford ) if I ever hope to find a buyer for the car in the future.
So, in an unusually obedient mood, I checked out CL for some project material.
I found an ad for this:
1932 Ford, 350 SBC, TH350 auto, tilt wheel, digital dash, cruise control. It was being sold by the widow of the man who built the car in the late 1980's.
I went to look at it and ended up buying it!
It needs TLC (wiring is a little scary, the brakes are spongy and I REALLY don't like the red digital dash), but it's in the garage and I'm having fun!
More pics:
"State of the art" digital dash with red bar gauges and tach...from 1986:
Much TLC required...
Here it is, loaded up for the trip home:
Glad I found it and I'm looking forward to enjoying the ride!
