I love the old military tanks, ship, planes and the tools of the trade the army used. It's impossible to imagine what those guys did with the equipment and conditions they dealt with day in a day out.

I haven't heard about that. River Oaks is Ritzy. I'd say he's 30-35 miles from me.Some guy living in River Oaks community in Houston owns the tank parked outside of his home. I don't know how close to you the guy is or if you have driven by to see it. People are getting upset but the homeowners association can't do anything....hahaha, people in Texas are awesome...🙂
I remember seeing the Blue Angels fly these in 1973, two of the pilots died in a crash a couple weeks later.
We had a customer (with an El Camino)at the last shop I worked at that was the pilot of an F4G Wild Weasel that was shot down by a SAM. Spent a couple of years as a POW. Interesting guy.
I did, too... then the F15's came out.
My dad bought me 1 share of McDonnell Douglas stock back in 1973... for $12 after commision. I think its worth about $400 today.
