KB pistons 455

bought some KB 277 pistons for a 455 olds ....

no instruction to show how to install these in cylinder

there is flat top portion on the piston top ....

does it go outward or inward ?

as in A or B pic ?

Look at your heads, it'll become clear. 😉

You want the pad on the piston to line up with the pad on the head for quench.
That being said, usually there's a mark of some sort on the pistons telling you which way they go.

If all else fails, you can always call KB.

you are right ! so obvious :roll:

what fooled me is that car craft did an article on a 455 build with KB`s pistons and they show them with the flat part outward`s .......they goofed !
