Steve thought the same thing. Actually, it's a '85 H/O 8.5" with an 8.2 cover on it.Thats an 8.2 rear which is wider.
awesome buy, thanksTest fitted some 295/50-15 rears on 15x10 Western Wheel Turbines on my Cutlass today. Seemed to have plenty of clearance all around ever with plenty of weight in the trunk and sagging factory V6 springs. Picked up the set of 4 for $100 with old tires. I'll try to post some pics of my test fit on here. I'll definitely post more pics when I get the new tires and mount them permanently. It's a pretty short tire (26.6 inches) but wide. I think it's 4" backspacing.
I believe plenty of Grand National boys are running 295/50-16 on 16x10 Turbines on stock setups (which should be the same size as my tire in the pic but an inch taller).
Since they're new and I'm shameless about pics...here is my setup.
17x7 front with 225/50/17 Nitto (17x8 with 245/45 should fit perfect)
17x8 rear with 4-1/2" BS and 255/45/17 Nitto's. I believe the repro SS wheels have less backspace which would be fine.View attachment 105286View attachment 105287
That looks really nice. They look like Mach 1 rims, which are probably based off of something else anyways. Looks great, especially the black with machined face on the gray car.A picture is worth a thousand words.
