I was just kidding about the 632 it is overkill for a street car but all kidding aside my buddy has a 69' Nova with a pump gas 598 BBC pushing close to 900 horse and what makes his car streetable is he has a Gear Venders over/under drive and he comes down here on the freeway about 40 miles just to go to car shows with me around here, something you might consider for your Nova at some point and maybe you will enjoy it more.

I have thought about a gear vender many times. I'm afraid it will load up and run like s**t with 950 holly. I like the car just not realy what I want. It is my dad 100 percent though could never sell it. You know what I mean? I have put a lot of my own time and money in that car. I think I can build my Monte to push the 500 mark and drive it any were. Can any one help me figure out how to get pictures on here?

I have been researching the 3800 thing. They say that bottom end in super charged engine are not as strong as early years. So boost levels are limited. Guys are saying use older 3800 iners and the super charger and boost away. Even found after market turbo kit and custom tuned ecu. Grand national guys are playing with these engines now.
You would want the series 2 or 3 3800....started showing up in 95 and 96 gm cars. supercharged 3800s had better rods and pistons as we'll as lower compression compared to the non-supercharged engines.

you would be somewhat limited with the stock Eaton supercharger.....if you want to get in the 450 - 500rwhp range, turbo would be a better choice.

What do you think about changing my engine from a draw through to a blow through type?

Ok now the fun is getting started! I just brought home a hole truck load of crap. I found a guy selling 96 comaro parts. I bought a complete 3800 reweel drive engine. A over drive trany with 1500 miles on it, and the guy let me have anything else I thought I could use off the car. The engine has a scored cylinder and crank, but now I have the intake, exaust manifolds, and all the acessories. Have to find a good front wheel drive engine cheep and I can start putting something together. Should not be too hard. So the plan is get a 3800 engine together drop it in my car and run it stock until I can get all the turbo stuff together. Then boost away! If it blows up get nother one. Only thing I'm not sure of is how to make it a stand alone system. What do you guys think of this plan?

like the idea... right now, I'm putting the 327 I put together a couple years ago, that has only seen break-in and driveway time, into my GP to see if it'll be a reliable build or a grenade... if it's the latter, I've been itching to do the 3800sc conversion.... make sure you start a build thread, I'll def be tuned in!
