".... take a door lock cylinder to a locksmith who can cut a new key to fit that cylinder......"

Personally I would pull the trunk lock. I don't how GM did it on G Bodies, but opn the older GM glove box locks they only used 2 tumblers in the Golve box lock instead of the total number normally found in the door and trunk locks.

I'd pull the trunk clyinder as it would be the easiest to get out anyway.

you can get a key cut to the lock, its been done, its somewhere in here ya just gotta search for it.

Yeah, just call a locksmith.. Happened with my old Bonneville, he even came to my house and did it. believe i had to show ID and registration just to prove it was mine

you right it is easier to remove the trunk cylinder but I'd like to know where you'd find a trunk cylinder on your car..the summer or winter version..

call the old owner and see if he has a spare key or if he hid one on the car that the has forgotten about...
I thought about doing this, then thought to myself, nah, there's no way. But because you suggested it, I tried it. Turns out he has a spare set of keys. He'll send them to me in a week or so. So thanks pontiacgp. 🙂

When I pulled the glove box lock from my '87 it had all of the tumblers.

When i bought my 85 GP it didn't have any keys, So i changed out the ignition lock cylinder and pulled a door lock cylinder took it to a locksmith and had new keys cut. 😀
