Re: Lowrider rebuild w/ custom paint job

:wtf:  Its beena whole year and havnt posted since but thought heck might as well show ya'll what I have done to the car since. First I left that car club and by doing that gave me motivation to do things on my own. I still live in a apartment so I had to rent a storage to do my work in. I re stripped my car down march 2010 and began the body work once again. This time were going BLACK  First time body man and painter I was determined to get it done and RIGHT! by my expectations. For the top I used a quart of retro hiphop red along with house of colors red metal flake intercoated with the clear and the bottom black clearcoated. I colorsanded the black with 2k grit and the red with 400grit cause of the flake and 4 coats of clear built up.I spent maybe 650.00 total including the compressor I had to go buy

Up next is motor change,, I blew the piston rings the first time having the car back out. Low power,, ton of blow by and smoke like crazy along with overheating issues. I just bought a chevy 88 4.3 v6 with edelbrock intake and holley carb in really good shape. Hope it works. Will post that build in another thread. thanks for looking

Looks like its coming along good. Sucks about the engine, but it sounds like you are not letting it slow you down. Once you get it on the road maybe you can meet up with a few of us from Cartersville. Here is a pic a from last weekend at Dellinger park in Cartersville.
